Big thank you to Derrick from Spokane Doesn't Suck for asking me to contribute. This is a fantastic idea...a fantastic blog! It's great to be reminded that there are others out there loving on this city. Some days this side of the bleachers feels a bit lonesome.

A wedding...

A friend of mine asked if I would photograph her wedding (This is the 2nd one I've done now...does this make me official?). It was at the Steam Plant - a historical Spokane building turned restaurant. Believe it or not this was the first wedding ceremony ever held there. It was a little difficult for photographing in - but so aesthetically pleasing!

I also shot some photos on our stroll over to their hotel. I will post a few of those gems in a bit when I get them all finished up. ♥

No Boundaries (Illustration Friday)

Every week I decide that this is the week I will do the Illustration Friday drawing....and then every week I do not.

This week the topic was "Boundary". I can't lie, I kinda hated it...which made me think a lot about it. It took a while to figure out what to draw - and then voilà!

Now I pretty much love it. What do you think?

Layer

This weeks Illustration Friday theme is Layer. When I opened by blog reader today I found this post from Julia Humpfer. What a great find!...and perfect for showing layers. I decided to give odosketch a go, and just not worry about the mistakes - it was pretty fun!

Prehistoric Love (IF)

So I am a bit late with my Illustration Friday drawing...last day and all. I'm done with my annual wintertime cold and couldn't pass up the theme "Prehistoric". Love it!

So here is a cute little lunch break dinosaur I whipped out. Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Undying love.

I've decided it's time to profess my undying love and affection to Patty and Tim, owners of Neato Burrito and The Baby Bar. Not only do they run a Mom and Pop Shop smack dab in the middle of downtown, but they support local artists and musicians all while raising a house full of the coolest kids out there! AND Patty surprised me a personalized "gift card board", AND they let me paint a giant mural on their wall! ♥ ♥ ♥

So for no other reason that to support some hard working Spokanites...bike over to Neato Burrito - then try the brisket with peanut sauce, corn salsa and cabbage ....I know this sounds weird but it is seriously amazing! (p.s. they also have tofu) ♥Have a most lovely Friday!

Mariko's new work blew me away this month! The show is a mix of her cloud project and a brand new unnamed (as of yet) series she has started; of which we have been promised much more to come. You can check out her and Nathan's show at the Caterina this month (I posted about them a while ago...here). They also have an article in the Inlander that comes out today!!!!
